Who’s not a candidate for Semaglutide or Tirzepatide?

Someone who is pregnant or nursing, younger than 18 years old, has a known allergy to GLP/GIP agonists, a personal history of pancreatiitis, severe gastrointestinal disease, severe kidney impairment,  Type 1 diabetes,  or a personal or family history of a type of thyroid cancer called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia  Type 2 (MEN-2).
